The Garrett Ace 150 and 250

A pair of detecting aces.

Why buy your Garrett Ace from us?

Universally accepted as the best entry level detectors on the market, the Garrett Ace 150 and 250 gives you true no nonsense detecting for rather less money than you can tax your car. Never mind a beginners machine, seasoned detectorists have put either of the Aces to good use whether it be on their productive inland sites or the dry sandy beaches.
Right up until the introduction of the Garrett Aces, entry level detectors were generally considered as nothing more than mere toys by the majority of seasoned detectorists. The poor performances and build quality of previous models was reflected by the fact that most detectorists felt that it was necessary to spend at least 3 times the amount being asked in order to own a detector with any sort of worthwhile performance.

So what makes the Garrett Aces so special and different from other entry level detectors?

Ease of use. Both the Garrett Ace 150 and 250 come equipped with their own instructional CD, so there is no feeling of being "left on your own to muddle through".
Lightness. No longer is there a problem of having to struggle with a heavy and unwieldy detector, these are light enough even for the younger members of the family to use. Now they can accompany you detecting and stand a realistic chance of finding for themselves.
Performance. You can confidently take a Garrett Ace onto a difficult Roman site in the knowledge that it won’t let you down; it’s perfectly capable of finding a silver Denarius whilst being able to reject the multitude of ferrous objects normally found on such sites. Meanwhile it will be equally at home on the dry sandy beaches finding rings and coinage whilst rejecting ring pulls and bottle caps.

Garrett Aces

What John Lynn says about them.

Garrett AcesI tested both the Garrett Ace 150 and 250 when they were first introduced into the U.K. and was impressed straight away. What looked (to me at the time) like a toy, produced a sophisticated level of detecting that had only been possible on detectors normally considered middle of the road, with a middle of the road price tag. These just had to be nailed on winners!!

The differences between the Garrett Ace 150 and 250 can be likened to the standard type car and a ghia model. They will both get you to where you want to go, but the 250’s extras will make it that little bit smoother.

I cannot recommend these metal detectors too highly for anyone new coming into the hobby.
